Hi,

I travel 56 kms/day to work and have been driving a 2.3 ltr engine car. Due the rising costs of travel, I am looking at buying a Hybrid car.

I see that there is Toyota Prius, Camry and Mazda Axela. Which model/yr and make would you recommend and why.

Hi there,
The Prius and Camry and tried and true vehicles with good reliability, and have proven extremely popular. The Axela is a great vehicle and should be even better as a Hybrid model, plus it still looks very stylish in hybrid form. The Axela looks to be quite new here as an import, so there could be issues with obtaining service/ repair history or parts supply in NZ- but I wouldn't think it too much trouble these days with more modern vehicles as parts from overseas can get here pretty quickly.
