Im looking for advice on a reliable 6 or 7 seater car/station wagon (not an mpv)? I love our toyota corolla wagon as its not too big, economical on fuel and so blimmin reliable, nothing ever needs fixing on it. However we really have outgrown it, our eldest squeezes in between two carseats, struggles to find the seatbelt and they just all argue too much squashed together 😂. The toyota mark wagons look good with the rear seats that fold down individually and even some boot behind those, however im not sure about the cvt transmission, any advice on this model? The toyota spacios look good with rear seats that pop up in the boot even if you cant fold up one at a time. However most of them seem to have smaller 1.5/1.8 litre engines and id like a bit bigger do we can tow occasionally, also we also dont seem to have the modern spacio (verso) in nz? So im after other 6/7 seater, non mpv, car ideas. Preferably with a camchain.

Hi there,
Toyota CVT hasn't really been known as giving problems and the import Mark-x is not really talked/complained about, and so it's relatively unknown problems wise.
On paper it looks like a great vehicle with plenty of power.
There is not a lot by way of station wagons that don't tend to start looking like an MPV.
Honda have a few good vehicles, Edix (6-seats) or Stream, but also CVT and can be a headache if not serviced correctly (like any CVT really).
Subaru Exiga (if you can get past the looks)
SUV is also more of a flavour at the moment like the Mistubishi Outlander.
The later Vero (-2009_is said to have been more aimed at the European market and might be why we haven't seen may (if any) imported here.
