Hi,

I am interested a second hand low km Mazda Premacy 2009 20CS that has variable valve timing and would like to know is VVTI cause for concern as I have read a few negative articles indicating problems with Mazda's with VVT.

Would appreciate your thoughts on this

Hi there,
You will find that most modern vehicles are now equipped with VVT systems which give a different power response across a wider rev range. I'm not specifically aware of a common complaint with the Mazda system, but aware that some early systems gave a bit of trouble as the manufacturer ironed out the kinks.
