HI there, we are debating purchasing a Landcruiser 1998 vx 4L diesel (OD 220km) versus a Hyundai Santa Fe 2010 2L diesel (OD 115km). Both seem to come in around the $20k mark. We don't require it for heavy towing, mainly round town, up the ski field and towing the odd load of wood.

From a technology and safety items point of view, the newer and lower km's the better. In this case the is 12 year 100,000km gap so I would pick the Santa Fe with this in mind. The Landcruiser is a great vehicle, but for this comparison it doesn't really fit.
