Hi there, I’m looking to purchase a 2011 Ford Territory TS. It’s the 2wd model, 4l petrol engine.
Are there any common issues with these vehicles?
It has around 140Kms so would there be anything in particular to look out for when test driving/looking over it?
There isn’t an AA inspection centre near where I’m buying it from will get a local garage to look over it, should I get them to do any particular testing?
Thanks for your help

Hi there,
Our information suggests a common fault that can happen in the transmission gear position switch, with fault code P0826. The symptoms of this are poor driveability, gear shifting, and the fault code present.
Also a potential climate control A/C fault, the AC/heater recirculation switch LED flashing and climate control not working. Possible trouble codes stored: B1676, B2005, U1900. This can be due low A/C module supply voltage.
I would have an inspection carried out that makes sure the vehicle will pass a wof, has not been in any serious accidents, all the ancillaries operate as intended, vehicle drives well with the engine and transmission being smooth and quiet.
