My mechanic has put the hard word on me to let go of my Toyota Echo with over 330,000kms, some time in the next 6 mths. I'm going to have to go into debt to replace it. If I'm going to go into debt I'm considering purchasing a pre-owned EV. However I'm a tenant in a property where I park on the driveway - I won't have access to overnight charging so will have to charge at station. I've found two in the Rodney district, one within walking distance of my workplace. But I have a feeling there is a difference between the 'overnight' charge and the charge you get at a charging station. Is that correct? If it is, will I find myself rapidly reducing the battery life?

Hi there,
As with any battery, the ideal to keep the conditioning is to have slow full cycle charging a majority of the time. Quick charging often can generate heat which over time can reduce battery health. Here is a link to some ideas on looking at Nissan Leaf EV's if you are interested. https://samholford.github.io/leafguide/
