In my job I drive up to 80km a day with up to 9-10 stops and starts on normal roads.
I am wondering if you could recommend a car around the 1800cc size that is quiet inside the car, has little vibration and good suspension.
I have been driving a 2007 Suzuki Swift which has been great for manoeuvrability and tight parking situations but has become noisy and lacks comfort.
I was thinking something along the lines of a Toyota Corolla or a Ford Fiesta or a Honda Jazz.
I did think a Toyota Prius would fit the above criteria, however it is a little too long for the garage. My price range is $20k.

Recommending a used car with these kind of specifics in mind can be a bit difficult, the car could be on it's 2nd or 3rd set of tyres, which can create a large portion of road noise complaints. An imported vehicle can also have very hard tyres due to age, especially if the vehicle has done low mileage. European cars often can have very good interior sound deadening which helps minimise outside noise. Ford Fiesta and Focus transmissions have let these cars down in models from around 2012, the Corolla has always been a favourite, as with the Jazz. You may also want to look at the Golf or Polo to see if the handling and road noise is better for you.
