Hi Cade,Have been looking at a vehicle to purchase. Said car is a 2014 nz new . According to carjam this vehicle has had no less than 3 rego plates in its short life. The dealer can not throw up any clue as to why.For the life of me i cannot think of any reason.Any ideas?

Hi there,
Here's a possible scenario, vehicle first registered with standard plates, then a personalised plate was fitted and taken off again when the car was sold and more government plates fitted?

Yeah never though of that, might well be but 3 times? Will give this one a miss. Thanks

It only takes the fitment of one set of personalised plates to give a total of 3 sets of plates, simply because the government plates can't be re used and must be destroyed each time they are removed. So the history check might show two lots of government plates and one set of personalised. Or the car could have been de-registered/ written-off twice.
