I am looking for a used vehicle and I am thinking of using a car broker to assist me Can you advise if this is a reliable method? I know the vehicle I want, I am a confident internet user but to get a person to try for a reduced sale price is this the best way to go? Thanks

Hi there,
I've not heard of anyone actually using a broker to get a better deal on a car as yet, more for the sourcing of an imported vehicle and getting it complied in NZ.
If you struggle making an offer to the face of the dealer, you can always email or phone them and make an offer without being put off.
I see no mention of actually checking the vehicle condition or offering a guarantee of satisfaction on the websites I have looked into.
I think it would be important to have a pre purchase inspection carried out on a vehicle you like to make sure you are satisfied of the condition and this can also give grounds to price or repair negotiations.
