Hi there,

We recently (a couple of months ago) bought a car and wanted it to be in two names but the dealership only put it into my name - We have got the form from the PostShop but there's only space on the form for one owner - how do you add a second owner to a vehicle?

To complicate matters further, the second owner is on a temporary licence (she moved here from Mexico) and so that licence will expire in June before which point she'll get a permanent NZ licence - does that change the answer?

I believe in the past duel ownership was possible however unfortunately it isn't any more.
You can only register the vehicle in one of your names.
