Hi there,

I am currently looking into buying a used vehicle and am considering both Japanese (Toyota & Honda) and Korean (specifically Hyundai i30) cars. I was just wondering if there are any significant differences in terms of maintenance cost, availability of spare parts, and general quality between Japanese and Korean cars.

Thank you.

Hi there,
I'm not aware of any significant costs or supply struggles between the both.
I think you'll find that the Korean cars are NZ new and so could be a different spec and quality to the average used Japanese domestic spec vehicle.
