We are having an AA Inspection done on the above vehicle.
Are there are specific issues or things we need to be aware of with this model and year of Lexus, including that it is a hybrid, before we finalise our offer on the car? It has only had one owner and done 10,000 kms, with most time being spent unused in the owner's garage.
Have international tests shown that hybrids are reliable and economic long term, as they appear to be relatively new in New Zealand. How long can the car run before having to replace the battery, and how much do they cost approximately when the main battery needs to be replaced.
Thank you.

Hi there,
From the lack of feedback we have received on these cars, it could be said that they are great. Lexus hybrid systems seem to work very well with the integration or changeover between electric and fuel being quite seamless. A lot of manufacturers seem to guarantee their batteries for 8-10 years, but you may need to speak to Lexus for specifics and cost of replacement.
