Hi
I'm in need of an older workhorse car - an economical second car for the family It's needed for errands around town, transporting kids to after school stuff, for my elderly parents to drive/tour with when they visit from overseas, to put surfboards on and possibly for the teenager to start learning to drive in, in 18 months time.
I had my eye on a Nissan Note, in part because it seems to have a good safety rating, but have read some things about CVT problems? Any recommendations gratefully received.

Hi there,
While Nissans make great engines and vehicles, the transmission is reported to be a bit problematic on some models.
You may want to look as the Toyota Corolla types like the Allex, Runx and Auris, or the Mazda Demio or Axela.

Thanks. I'm now contemplating either a Toyota Raum, or a Mazda Verisa. They seem to be similar in dimensions and I'm aware of the sliding doors on the Raum.
Any opinions on these and which would be a better option?
