We are keen to buy a more fuel efficient vehicle and are very interested in buying a Prius hybrid or PHEV. Can you give us some recommendations and points to consider with both models? Thanks.

I guess the main concern with a used EV is the battery life remaining, and if it will fit your lifestyle. A PHEV with a very short range may be just as useful as a hybrid but with the added hassle of plugging it in.

Thanks. I’ve read the article recommended but it really doesn’t answer my question. Guess I wasn’t clear enough. We are trying to choose between a Prius hybrid and a Prius phev. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each model?

From my experience with the PHEV Prius, the amount of km's I got from a charge did not warrant the hassle of plugging it in. I ended up just using it has a hybrid.
