Looking for as late a model as possible hatchback or small stationwagon under $5000 as a 2nd car to get to and from work. (my 97 Corolla GLX needs to say goodbye). Need something reliable. Any suggestion on what to get or avoid. Been looking at Holden (Astra, Viva), Ford Focus, Mazda (Axela) and Toyota (Allex Corolla,
Runx, Fielder). 1.5l or higher to 2.0l and not too small either. Thanks

Hi there,
The Mazda Axela, and Toyota Corolla Allex, Runx, Fielder are all good choices and once we would recommend as opposed to the Holden models. Ford Focus is not too bad in the years you are looking at, but not as popular as the more Japanese cars.

Thanks - I have also seen a few Hyundai i30 (2009 petrol) models, these OK?
