Hi, we are looking at 7 seaters and were told the Hyundai Sante Fe and Kia Sorento are good? Kias are cheaper but essentially the same motors as Hyundai? As far as the kms go - is it worth spending the extra money for say, something under 100,000 kms, or is something around 120-150,000 kms ok too if we are wanting to keep the budget down? Perhaps we would end up spending the money on repairs etc sooner for a Kia with more kms on the clock anyway? Or do they last the distance? Thanks in advance, love to hear any other thoughts or advice! Cheers.

Hi there,
100km is generally a turning point where big service items can often fall due (transmission service, cam belt if fitted, filters ect) so many will sell up just before these km's. If you purchase a vehicle 120-150 I would imagine these items to have been carried out and should have fairly good motoring into the 200's. However there are two trains of thought and prices paid accordingly, pre and post 100km.
I've not really heard of any major faults with either of these vehicles, but recommend getting any potentials checked out before purchase.
