Hi,

I need to part ways with my 2001 Honda Jazz which has done about 260k kms and has that famous CVT transmission issues. It judders badly and once lost gears completely while driving, requiring restart of the engine. It also has some issues with door locks.

Considering that it wouldn't hold much value in a good condition, should I just take it to a scrap yard or put it up on a $1 reserve auction? Or is it worth anything to have it repaired to sell?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,
It may be best to sell the car as is where is on trade me or dollar reserve type.
Someone may have a crashed example and the time to repair it themselves.
Scrap value may only end up being $500, and you may not get your money back if you repair.
