Hi there
Looking at the 2017 new models for these two cars.
Both are offering for $29995 (normally $35995) - is there one you would recommend over the other and if so, why?
Thanks

Hi there,
The specs for these vehicles are very similar, however the ASX is slightly better on fuel economy (.3 of a Ltr)
My pick would have to be the Kia, they look good and drive well, but more importantly they have a 6-speed conventional automatic transmission. The Mitsi has the CVT (1-speed) which is smooth and good for fuel economy, but is just not my cup of tea. The one speed seems to make the vehicle feel a bit revvy for my liking. There is not generally much that seems to go wrong with the newer transmissions, but they operate in a way that is different, and not everyone likes it.

Hi Cade
Thanks for your reply.
Does the Mitsi improve for the Diesel AWD (priced a little higher)or would you still tend to favour the Kia?...
Thanks

Hi there,
Yes it looks like the transmission changes for the AWD Diesels to a 6-speed conventional automatic. I've not had a drive of the diesel as yet, so can't say for sure if it is better.
