I'm looking at buying a used vehicle from a sales yard that offers $3,000.00 minimum trade in on specific vehicles. I was wondering what your thoughts were on these types of deals and if there were any mechanical issues with the following vehicles I'm looking at. I'm leaning towards the Ford, what do you think?

2010 Nissan Murano 4WD $16,995 (after minimum trade in of $3,000), 130350kms
2011 Holden Commodore VE Berlina $19,995, 120805kms
2013 Ford Falcon FG2 XR6 $18,995, 99472 kms

Hi there,
It depends what vehicle suits your needs best, the Murano is a very smooth SUV with the CVT transmission and V6 engine. The price is right, non trade value looks to be around $20K.
I think the Ford is good because it is the newest car with the lowest km's within your price range. It may even hold value as they are no longer built.

Thanks. I was looking at previous questions and the issue with CVT transmissions. Would the Murano just scrape in as being ok being a 2010 vehicle? We will be getting an AA inspection once we have decided.

I'm not aware of the Murano having the same issues as some of the others, might pay to give a transmission specialist a call and just see if they have seen any.
