Hi AA,
I am planning to buy a vehicle for my family.
I have narrowed down to the following cars ( Used Car)
2004 Toyota Ist -- 84,554 kms -- 1300cc-- $6000
2006 Toyota Ractis-- 70,089 kms-- 1500cc-- $6500
Which model would you recommend? I also intend to get a aa vehicle inspection done.

Hi Priya,
Both vehicles are good, however they have two different transmission types between them. The ist is listed as having a 4 -speed conventional automatic, while the Ractis has a "1-speed" cvt transmission and operates in quite a different way. You either love it or hate it, so it would be best to drive both vehicles and feel the difference. The CVT's are good for being smooth and helping achieve good fuel economy, but can be very expensive to repair if things go wrong.
