Hello,

I am going to drive uber soon in my free time. I'll only be driving uber max 3 hrs a day as I have other commitments. I don't want to buy a $10,000 Prius only to drive it for such a small amount of time. I am contemplating to buy a 2008 or 2009 Nissan Tiida which probably will cost me $7500.

Do taxi companies or uber drivers use Nissan Tiida or is it just me? Also, what other cars can I get in my budget range?

Hello Unfortunately I am not aware of requirements of a taxi for Uber It may pay to consult their customer service team to confirm the suitability of a Tiida, before buying it.

The Nissan Tiida is a good commuter car however if you are using it more often you should pay closer attention to wear and tear items like brakes and tires.
