I was considering buying this car: http://www.trademe.co.nz/browse/listing.aspx?id=1295128763 and had some questions:

1) Would it be relatively easy to sell this car?
2) What are the chances of it having very expensive to fix problems given its age and mileage?

I will be in Auckland for 9 months and will leave after that. If you had to pick another car for around 4k, that is small to medium, and cheap to run, what would you suggest?

Hi there,
This vehicle does seem to be in good condition and they advertise no foreseeable problems. It's hard to know about the resale, but the price and the km's seem pretty good. The main area to look at that I can advise is the transmission, if you can find out about the operation (is it smooth, doesn't hold gears for a long time) and if it has been serviced (with filter).
