I am looking to buy a car and currently considering axela or BMW 120i. It will be my first car in nz and am looking to spend up to 16k. Open to other suggestions as well. Any advice I can get would be greatly appreciated 😊.

Hi there,
The Mazda Axela is a very good choice for a Japanese import vehicle along with the Suzuki Swift. With NZ new Mazda 3 being the ultimate if you can find one in your price range.
The BMW 120i, VW Polo and Golf are some good choices on the European side NZ new or imported.

For axela should I be looking at any upper limit for KMs for 5 - 7 year old car?

Most cars would travel between 10,000-15,000km per year and so this would be a good reference point to know if the vehicle has low km's for the age or not.
