Hi - I'd like to know if there are restrictions on the style of racing seat that can be installed in my Evo 6 - I've looked at the LTNZ site for a guide on it but it doesn't mention the type of seat. I'm wondering if it's illegal to install on street cars a fixed seat with the wrap-around headrest area that blocks out side view a bit (unless leaning forward look side to side, which is what drivers' do anyway)? Seats can be modified but they will need to be Low Volume Vehicle (LVV) certified to be legal for use. Whether these seats will meet the criteria to be LVV certified is unlikely but you will need to contact a LVV certifier to confirm if they meet their rules.
