I'm looking at getting a protective car cover for my "early" Holden. Ideally I'd like one that is waterproof, breathable, resists practically anything and everything possible (for both indoors and outdoors storage). Does 'A.A.' have a suggestion as to where I should shop for one; perhaps a particular make of cover? Are there brands that you are aware classic car owners tend to use? Thank you.
There is parts stores which sell these covers but you might want to consider having one custom made to fit your vehicle. You should contact a company who specialises in custom fit car covers.
Thank you Donavan, AA Expert. What you have replied with is already what I know and thought myself. I was actually hoping you would name/suggest/direct me to something in particular, perhaps a brand name, perhaps a supplier/manufacturer. Do you know anything more than what you already said? Thanks.
Other than the ones you can get at places like Repco or Supercheap NO. You can contact boat yards and find out who they use for making the custom boat covers as they are likely to make car covers as well.
You can view the below website of a company who can supply the car cover you are looking for but we have not used this product ourselves so cannot comment on it.
Car covers can sometimes trap the moisture under them and cause rust or mould and possibly water marks on the paintwork - if they do not breathe.
