I recently purchased a NZ new 2002 Mazda 626 and have just replaced the battery.

I now require a code to get the radio going again - alas I don't have the code nor a handbook.

Any suggestions.

You should be able to go to your local Mazda dealer and ask for the code.

It may be wise to take some proof of ownership of the car with you.

They may have to contact Mazda NZ but I would be very surprised if they could not supply the code for a vehicle they sold new in NZ.

The worst case scenario may be to remove the radio as quite often the code is written on the unit itself.

For security reasons most franchise dealers will not give such codes out over the phone.

I have a similar question: after a jumpstart, my radio doesn't work - completely blank, no power. However, it's not the original Mitsubishi radio - it's a RoTech. I've checked the RoTech manual, but can't find anything about a code or security. Any help?
