How long should a good Battery last in a car that is being used most days .?

It can depend on the type of battery fitted and, like the car itself, manufacturers can come up with their own different warranty periods.
In general, new batteries have around a 2-to-3 year warranty period.
That’s not to say they will last longer. The battery in my wife’s car is over 7-years old but I suspect we are living very much on borrowed time at the moment.
