Hi,I have a few new Michelin tyres for Porsche Cayenne in Malaysia and I intend to bring them together with my other goods in a container.Can you please inform whether there is any specific tyre standards the tyres have to comply in order to be able to be imported to New Zealand?thx

Yes, tyres do need to meet a standard to be imported into NZ. It’s gets a little complicated, so best you simply look at the tyres and try and find a standard mark stamped into the sidewall.
You are looking for symbols such as E2/ DOT followed by a number/JIS.
Any of the above means the tyres meet NZ standards.
It may not apply in your case, but some imported tyres are stamped ‘Made in Australia’ which is also a tick of approval
