Over the years manufacturers have changed the way they reprogram new keys into customers cars.
The card you have is a little old-school and provides specific information to allow a new key to be made compatible with the cars on-board immobiliser unit.
In other words a new key needs to connect with the engine immobiliser unit to allow the engine to start. This card has the information a Peugeot dealer needs to make that happen.
Make sure you keep it in a safe and secure place in case you ever have the need for a spare or replacement key.
