Hi,
I have a Honda Fit 2007 and have a couple of capsule car seats. I do struggle to fit the capsules with my existing seat belts. I have seen some seat belt extenders and seem like they'd do the job for me. Any advice around using them, is it a good idea, is it safe, any reliable place to get them?
Also - this will show I know painfully little about cars - but the middle seat of my car only comes with a lap belt. Is there an option to change this to a shoulder belt, and where can I get such changes done?
Appreciate any suggestions and advice.

Hi there,
Unfortunately there is currently no manufacturer or NZTA approved seatbelt extenders on the market.
With regards to the middle seatbelt, in order to accommodate a lap and diagonal belt, there would need to be a top mounting point manufactured in the roof and this would require specialist certification. The cost for this would be a bit prohibitive (if it could actually be done at all) to have this kind of modification carried out.
