Don’t leave your car sitting in the garage: AA’s reminder after record-breaking post-lockdown days in 2020

The AA is reminding Kiwis not to leave their car sitting in the garage if they want to reduce their chances of battery failure when lockdown restrictions ease. AA Roadservice went to a record-breaking 4208 callouts nationwide in the 48 hours after lockdown restrictions lifted in April 2020 - the majority of which were battery-related. In normal circumstances, the AA attends about 2400 callouts in 48 hours.

Nearly a quarter of New Zealand adults now read AA Directions New Blog Entry Page - Motoring section

Nearly a quarter (24.1%) of New Zealand adults aged 15+ now read AA Directions magazine, according to the latest Nielsen National Readership survey. AA Directions had an average issue readership of 991,000 between April 2020 and March 2021, the just-released Nielsen CMI Magazine Topline figures show. This was an increase of 54,000 year-on-year. AA Directions Editor Kath Webster, who recently celebrated 20 years with the magazine, says the magazine’s celebration of New Zealand and New Zealanders clearly resonates with readers.
