AA Driver's Seat Driving Lessons are for learner, restricted and full licence holders. The lessons are adapted for each driver's needs and are for developing skills, preparing for driver licence tests and staying safe on the road.

Booking information
When you are ready to book, what’s next? Create a profile in the name of the person taking the lesson. To receive the AA Membership discounts the person taking the lesson must have a valid AA Membership of their own (not a parent / family member).
AA Members
Use your MyAA login username and password when logging in to make a booking.
Non Members
You can become an AA Member, then connect your Membership number on the sign up process to book lessons at the discounted price. Non Members can also create an account and book lessons without an AA Membership.
About Driving Lessons
This one hour driving session with a qualified AA Driving Instructor is comprised of three parts:
Briefing (10 min)
- Review of your driving history and recent practice
- Areas you want to improve, and plans for the day’s lesson
Practical driving (40 min)
- Driver training with progressive skill improvement through practice and repetition.
- Steering, guiding, indicating, shoulder checks, basic slow speed manoeuvres
- Build up to congested urban areas, lane changing, roundabouts, higher speeds, motorway driving and night driving
Debrief (10 min)
- Open ended, student centred feedback
- Highlights of sessions, areas to work on, plans for practice
- Planning your lesson programme as you work towards getting your restricted or full licence
