Could you please advise whether to use 91 or 95 octane for a 2005 Honda Edix 20X 2000cc?
I believe it has the K20A engine. An on-line search suggests 95 RON but the same engine was used in the 2L Civic models sold new in NZ and I was told these ran on 91 octane.

According to data available to us, 91 will be fine for this car.
But to explain why you have been given varying information, often the information provided by New Zealand distributer (ie; Honda NZ in this case) differs from that provided by the Japanese supplier. This is because it can't be assumed that because a particular engine designation was offered in NZ it will be exactly the same as a Japanese domestic market model. Very often, different markets use different engine management settings, have different emission requirements etc.
The other thing to be mindful of, is that the cost of running on 91 or 95 works out to be very similar. In testing we carried out, cars that manufacturers recommend 91 octane fuel for will get better economy on 95, so the overall difference is very marginal.
